Vtg MARANTZ 2230 stereo RECEIVER xlnt condition WORKS & sounds great NO RESERVE! Offered for auction this genuine vintage Marantz model 2230 stereo receiver we acquired from the original owner. It is in excellent original condition, works good including all of the lights, and sounds great with occasional scratchiness when turning the knobs. We dusted the interior but have not cleaned inside with Deoxit and will leave that up to the buyer. It is very clean cosmetically with no scratches or dents on the woodgrain cover, and it has a gorgeous shiny faceplate and knobs. The faceplate has no scratches, no gouges, no wear to the painted black script, and no abrasions from turning the knobs. There is one micro-fleabite to the edge at the upper left near the MARANTZ 2230 insignia. Dimensions of the unit are 17-3/8" wide x 6" tall x 16" deep front to back, and it weighs 28 lbs. CARVER MXR-130For your consideration, we have listed our MXR-130. Receiver is in excellent original working condition. It was used with a Pioneer reel to reel and two sets of CS-99A's. I have vaccuumed / air bursted the chassis, & cleaned all connections / pots / controls with Deox-it. Everything functions excellent. 130 watts per channel into 8 ohms. This unit has the optional rack handles. Cabinet has some light scratches but displays great. Over-all cabinet size : 19" wide x 18-1/4" deep x 5-1/2" tall.Bellow is a brief disscription of the unit that we copied and pasted off of the Internet. Bob Carver's first intro into the receiver market around 1980 was his Carver MXR-130 or "The Receiver" as it is sometimes called. Carver equipment has always had a different look to it and this one is no exception. The receiver is basically a combination of Carver's C-1 pre-amplifier, TX-11 Asymmetrical Charge Coupled Detector F.M. tuner and TFM-25 amplifier. While a solid performer at 130 watts per channel it does have some weaknesses. It's under sized power resistors mounted too close to the circuit board tend to cause heat related problems over time. The output relays tend to fail as well but they can now easily be found for around $20 a piece. On the good side it has a great moving magnet phono preamp and great AM and FM tuning sections. curt-palme Store Pioneer SX-780 AM/FM receiver If you're reading this, you probably already know what you're looking for. This is a 1974 vintage 45 watt per channel receiver in excellent working condition. I am a board level audio and video technican, with all the tools and test equipment to run through vintage receivers like this. Electronically this receiver is flawless. I've cleaned all controls and switches with Caig contact cleaner, every one is clean and noise free. Both channels put out a solid 45 watts of power at 0.05% THD as per my Soundtech 1700B analyzer. All dial lights are new and work, the dial pointer works, and the flywheel and dial cord are in great shape. All meters and indicator lights work. Cosmetically the wood sleeve is in good shape. The metal on the top and back is in good shape, there is a small scratch through the 'Pioneer' wording on the bottom right of the front panel. All knobs are in good shape. If you want a high resolution image of any part of the receiver, just email me, I want to make sure that you know exactly what you're getting. There are a few of these receivers here on eBay sold in as is shape, rest assured that I've run through this one completely, and have test run it for a week in the shop to ensure long life. Luxmans are the favorite of Mr. Lawrence, my trusted stereo technician, and he tells me that he is not alone in this opinion. That's why this R-1070 is the last of my husband's receivers to go. It's a wonderful machine. It's far more powerful than the Carver 900 I am keeping for myself, which I think is rated at 100 watts per channel. I've forgotten what the Luxman is, but it is more that 100 watts per channel. I'm sorry that so few pictures turned out. I shot lots of them, but on most the computer said no -- the pictures were too big. This is the second time in succession this has happened, and I don't know how to fix it. the picture I really wanted was of the back; I hope you will take my work for it that the back is flawless.
