Here we have a rebuilt Marantz 2230. It was not in very good shape when I got her. After an overhaul the unit sounds great and looks very nice. This will look good in any room of your home. Firstly I have rebuilt the power supply board, replaced all the electrolytic capacitors on the power supply board, and both power amp boards. I have set the power supply voltages to factory specs and have also set the forward bias and dc offset to factory specs. Also I have changed out all the old fuse lamps and have installed 7 new LED lamps which make the dial very Marantz blue,these lamps snap in just like the original Marantz lamps. The stereo lamp has also been replaced and looks just great. Also I installed a brand new OEM power switch. All controls and switches were treated with DeOxit and Faderlube to insure pinpoint control and no more scratchiness. The faceplate as you can see in the photos is in very nice condition for a near 40 year old receiver, there are very small surface scratches by the faceplate screws and the word POWER is fading near the power button, all other lettering is intact. Also I have 4 brand new OEM Marantz feet they are as close to original as you will ever find. I have totally cleaned the whole unit , every knob, every PC board, inside and out. It plays beautifully, very crisp highs and very strong deep bass, the 2230 is one of Marantz great accomplishments and you will not be disappointed. Everything works, all outputs were checked and this unit has been playing for a week since the restoration without incident. This Marantz pushes out 30 old school watts per channel, which by today's standards is closer to 50-60 watts, and it sounds like it.
