Scott 340B Stereo Receiver Picture(s) and Description:

You are bidding on a 1960's vintage H.H. Scott 340B Receiver. It was purchased new in the 1960s by my parents and has remained in the family. The tuner and amplifier are in good working order and the unit has never been repaired or modified. The only operating issue is an intermittent drop-out of one of the channels. All lights, rotary switches and pots are fully functional. A couple of the slide switches don't work well. The price includes the owners manual and electrical schematic (dated 1963). The cabinet veneer is in excellent shape. Three cosmetic issues: 1. a faint waterglass stain on the top of the cabinet, a cracked (but complete) vent cover, 1 missing knob bezel. (The photo shows 2 missing, but I have 1 of them in perfect shape). I encourage local pick-up in the Detroit Michigan area. A handling fee of $15 will be charged if shipping is required. In addition to the handling fee, the actual FedEx cost will be charged. My research shows the FedEx charge to Chicago is about $20, while shipping to LA is about $44. The unit weighs 38 lb. Since this is vintage electronics, I specify that the sale is "as-is" with no guarantee of performance and I will not accept returns unless shipping damage is proven by the buyer and agreed to by FedEx. No shipping outside the 48 contiguous US states. Additional pictures will be provided via email upon request. (The Ebay calculated shipping charges are more than my FedEx rates)
